Gambler...

Dahlia Lenox, is Woman with a scarred heart. With her comes many secrets. And she also has a love interest to only wants her! Garrison Lee only has eyes for the lovely Dahlia. He hasn't unquenchable hunger and he will stop at nothing to have her . Finding out her secret both exasperating and marvels him. He knew he would love her forever . But when circumstances arise it will be Garrison who will do the protecting because his family depends on it. Vanessa Vale follow-up to wildflowers of Montana series with a story of love that knows no bounds. The fact that the heroine has suffered a great deal only makes for a more poignant story and will grab at your heart, this one will have you laughing and crying....grab your Kleenex!

Third book is a charm

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.
This is the third book in the Wildflowers Of Montana series and this time its the lovely Dahlia turn to find her forever love.
As always Vanessa Vale brings her A game with every book she writes and I just keep falling in love over and over again.... can you tell I love her.
Right so this book is all about Garrison and Dahlia and these two sure do have wounded souls watch as there love unfolds so beautifully.
Garrison has always loved Dahlia for as long as he can remember, yes they had this love hate thing going between them as children but she has always been the only one for him. Know that they are older and have been courting for a while he asks her to marry him and she says no but He won't give up or stop asking her to marry him until the very day that she says yes. When he gets word that she is travelling out of town, he knows he has to go with her and try to buy a horse along the way.
But Garrison is in for a shock a huge one and he cannot believe his eyes when he sees his Dahlia in a saloon and she is playing poker. But what comes as shock also comes as an advantage.
Dahlia knows she loves Garrison but she also is well aware that she can never marry him. See she has this secret and its a big one she has physical and mental injuries from when she was a child and her family sadly died in a tragic fire.
She has this well thought out plan she is going to win enough money secretly playing poker, then she will move away to a big city and be content there. But things never go the way you want and her well thought out plans are derailed and of course when Garrison stumbles upon her secret. Everything goes up in the air when Garrison decides that he is going to play Dahlia in a hand of poker. and they seal this deal with a bet if He he wins, she will agree to be his wife, and if he loses, he will keep her secret from everyone.
What happens next well that's for you too read and find out ;)
This book was a great Instalment it had me on a roller-coaster of emotions and fanning myself a great deal :) Miss Vale sure does no how steam up the screen of my kindle.
As always the main characters are brilliant both so full of life and love, passion and of course painful pasts to overcome which always makes for a great read. Garrison and Dahlia are two wounded souls but with allot of love and heap full of understanding they are what each other needs to heal from the inside and out.

5 stars! – I wouldn’t mind being camped up with Garrison myself!

Ms Vale has made a convert out of me! I wouldn’t have normally thought to pick a Western historical romance to read but I’m so glad I took that chance on the first book and I’ve been eagerly devouring her work ever since. I love the mix of the Western style setting with the Alpha males and feisty females along with the slightly BDSM elements. And Dahlia is no exception!
Dahlia Lenox is a woman on a mission: she needs to obtain money in order to move from the farm she lives in with her sisters to the big city. She embarks on the risky move of playing poker to raise the funds which given the time would be frowned upon by her peers. The only real obstacle to her goals is Garrison Lee, the horse rancher intent on making Dahlia his wife.
Dahlia would secretly like nothing better than to be Mrs Lee but is fearful that when Garrison learns her secret he will no longer want her and that thought is just too much to bear. Yet Garrison is not a man to be denied:
“I’d most certainly learn her every secret using whatever motivational method necessary.”
Phew!! I can feel the temperature rising already. I was talking to my kindle saying, “If she doesn’t want him – sign me up lol!”
It always amazes me how much the author packs into these novella sized stories and I’m never left wanting. I love how the ‘Phwoar’ Factor is always raised and the sexual tension was really ramped up with these two:
“He was a master at it. He was my master and there was no other place I wanted to be.”
Both Dahlia and Garrison reveal their vulnerable side to one another and you really feel the love they have for each another. I can’t wait for the next sister’s story! One-click this story today – you will not be disappointed.
